The first visit lasts for around 30 - 45 minutes. Subsequent matings are often a little shorter as your female will be more relaxed.

Yes, I would much prefer that you stay throughout as your female will gain confidence from you being there and this might be something new for your female.

Milo and Freddie have both produced large litters. Freddie’s largest litter has been ten puppies while Milo’s largest litter has been eleven! The truth of the matter though is that the female determines the size of the litter - it all depends on the number of eggs she releases.
